Calgary Book Launch

 
Join us on January 13th, 2026 inside the iconic Dome at Contemporary Calgary (the Old Science Centre) for an energizing, inspiring event with Dr. Laura, celebrating the launch of her new book, I Wish I’d Quit Sooner: Practical Strategies for Navigating a Toxic Boss. 

 

This special event features: 

• A powerful TEDx-style talk where Dr. Laura shares the pivotal moments that shaped her journey into helping people navigate toxic bosses 

• Getting your book copy (or copies!) signed. 

• Connection with other professionals, HR leadership and community members who value honest conversation on a globally impactful topic 

 

You’ll also catch Dr. Laura later that week on CTV’s The Social and Global’s The Morning Show or at SXSW in March - but this evening is your chance to hear her message before it goes public!

 
Books will be available for sale, and she’d love to sign your copy. If you or someone you care about has ever dealt with a toxic boss, and let’s be honest, most of us have, this is the book to share. 

 

The session is free, with options to pre-purchase a book(s) or drink ticket(s). Please note: there are various ticket options to secure your copy and pre-order one of our signature ‘Toxic Boss’ Cocktails ahead of time.

• 15-minute TEDx-style talk by Laura , followed by Q&A  ​

5:30–7:00 PM: Post-Event Reception

• Networking

• Cash bar open  

• Book sales via Owl’s Nest

• If you purchase books on this page, they will be available for pickup at the Book Launch Event, or from Owl’s Nest Books and they will not be delivered to your address.
